went and saw exodus, testament and megadeth.as expected Megadeth ruled!! Dont really like the bass player, somehow a pick makes a bass sound so "twangy" no matter what EQ you employ, but they were tight for the most part.
Testament rocked pretty well, pretty decent balance.
Exodus however sucked musically. The singer rocked pretty hard, i got a kick outta him but the sound was a sonic morass period. Continue

Man... I am frustrated. Pretty much gave up playin so I could raise a family , somewhat normally. I gave most of my equipment to this kid who showed signs of being a pretty good musician. Turned out he was pretty good, he's in a couple of bands one a rock band i cant think of the name and a Rap group called "CCS crew". they're not bad , but myself i don't recognize rap as music , entertainment , yes... music no. Anyway, he got into some slight trouble a couple of years back, stored the stuff.

The rehearsal had to be cancelled as we rehearse in a school and it was closed due to the snow. Did manage a full first half set list practise (using MP3's) of the songs on my own. Played the bass and the MP3's through my Epiphone Headjammer headphone amp -brilliant piece of kit. Continue

New to this site so a little about me and my gear. My name is Jim Lott AKA JimLeBass, I have been playing longer than I care to remember and I am currently in a band in Bristol called the Midnite Blues Band.
I have two basses, and several guitars. The first bass is a semi-acoustic EKO that I purchased for £25.00 in 1978 and it is still going strong. My main axe now is a Mexican Fender Jazz in Midnight Blue bought as a birthday present by my partner Carole in the early 90's. I used to have an ori… Continue
