Finger plucking or plectrum??

Honestly , I dont know how to hold a pick so for me the basic two finger approach seems to be the easiest. plus it gives in my opinion the instrument an identity meaning the drummer uses sticks, the guitar player uses a pick and the bassist uses the fingers.
